| My Mother served in the WAAF with DorothyPitt who was the sister of one of the Airman.
Every year we went at Christmas to lay some evergreens at the memorial on behalf of Dorothy to honour her brother. Mother met Dorothy and her friend Anita who also served in the WAAF at the memorial three weeks before Dorothy sadly died. I believe that they were both at the opening of the memorial. It meant an awful lot to those ex WAAF's that the memorial exists and is kept in such good order. I have continued the tradition of laying the evergreens as my Mother sadly is no longer with us. It is something of which everyone should be very proud and underlines the fact that so many young men died for their country, as indeed they are still doing. Dorothy Davis |

| Congratulations on a marvellous Website, having visited the Memorial on numerous occasions and attended several Memorial Services, it is a credit to the people of Farnsfield that the brave crew of MZ519 will forever be remembered. Thank you.

| What a wonderful memorial. These brave young men made the ultimate and unselfish sacrifice and the least we can do is to make sure their sacrifice is not forgotten. |

| I just showed my dad (mentioned above... Bill Baker) your site. He was a member of 578 and looks upon that time as one of the most memorable periods of his life. He is now almost 93 and currently resides in K Wing of the marvellous facility at Sunnybrook hospital in Toronto. Thank you sincerely for this site. |
